The tower at St Wilfrid’s houses a ring of 6 bells plus a Sanctus bell, they are rung for Sunday morning service 09:30 to 10:00 and a weekly practice night is held on Thursdays 19:00 to 21:00. The bells are also rang for weddings and other special occasions.
Visiting ringers are always welcome to join on a practice night or for service ringing. Learners are also welcome to join on practice nights. St Wilfrid’s Alford is a great tower to learn to ring in since the bells are easy to ring and our ringing master, Caitlin Meyer, is a superb teacher.
